Single Variety Wines

The project to make wine at the Abbey of Propezzano was born in 2011 when I began to manage the abbey itself and the lands surrounding it. With an eye to reestablishing the ancient cellars of the abbey to produce traditional wines from indigenous grape varieties, I decided to begin work with just a small portion of the vineyards in an effort to obtain the best vines most adapted to the project I had in mind. In 2012, we bottled the first two wines from indigenous white grape varieties, Passerina and Pecorino.
